Thinking about Cosmetic Dentistry?: 2.7 Million American Have

When I read the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's (AACD) recent report, I was a little surprised at the numbers. Americans spent $2.75 billion on cosmetic procedures in 2006! And it doesn't seem to be slowing down, as spending increased 15% from 2005.

Surely Hollywood has had something to do with it . . . can you think of many celebrities that have ugly smiles? Maybe its the increase in celebrity tabloids, maybe its the influence of shows like Extreme Makeover. Either way, 2.7 million Americans have "made over" their smiles.
